Our Vision
At Plant A Vine, our vision is rooted in restoring balance—ecologically, culturally, and spiritually. We dream of a flourishing Amazon rainforest, rich with biodiversity and brimming with the sacred traditions of its Indigenous stewards.
A Flourishing Amazon
The Amazon rainforest is more than an ecological wonder; it is a living library of wisdom. Known as the "lungs of the Earth," it provides the oxygen we breathe and houses countless species of plants and animals, many of which hold untapped medicinal potential. Among these treasures, the Ayahuasca vine and Chakruna plant stand out—not just as botanical species but as sacred teachers, woven into the spiritual and cultural lives of Amazonian Indigenous communities.
Our vision is a future where these sacred plants thrive, not in scarcity but in abundance, supporting the forest’s delicate balance while safeguarding the cultural and spiritual practices they embody.
For centuries, Indigenous tribes like the Yawanawá have lived in harmony with the Amazon, guided by a profound bond with the land and its plants. Their traditions have withstood waves of exploitation—from the rubber trade to missionary efforts at suppression—yet the resilience of these communities remains strong.
Traditionally, the Yawanawá prepared only small batches of their sacred medicine for communal ceremonies. But as Western visitors increasingly arrive for festivals, dietas, vivências, and other gatherings, the tribe faces new challenges to meet this growing demand without compromising their cultural integrity.
In tandem with replanting efforts to restore vine populations throughout their territory, we build the Feitio House in Mutum. We also invited members of the Santo Daime community of Colonia 5000 to share their expertise—helping to revive and modernise cooking medicine within the tribe. Through the Escola do Feitio (School of Medicine Making) and other initiatives, we—together with the Santo Daime and the Yawanawá—pass on sacred knowledge to younger generations, ensuring that both the plants and the people who have stewarded their wisdom for millennia continue to flourish.

Global Collaboration
We believe the future of the Amazon requires a collective effort—a partnership between Indigenous communities and the global network of individuals inspired by Ayahuasca’s teachings. This partnership must be rooted in reciprocity, moving beyond the cycles of taking that have defined Western interactions with the Amazon in the past.
With the Yawanawá: Our collaboration supports their autonomy, empowering them to manage their land, traditions, and resources sustainably.
With Western Supporters: We invite those who have benefited from Ayahuasca to transform gratitude into action, supporting replanting efforts and cultural preservation.
Together, we can create a model of what it means to give back—to participate in a wave of restoration and helaing rather than depletion.
May the psychedelic renaissance herald a future of stewardship and balance,
leaving behind the patterns of taking and diminishing.
Key Pillars of Our Vision
Restoration:
Rebuilding the Amazon’s biodiversity by actively planting Ayahuasca vines and Chakruna plants. This ensures these sacred species can thrive for generations while restoring balance to the forest’s ecosystems.
Empowerment:
Supporting tribes like the Yawanawá to reclaim and enhance their traditional practices, ensuring that sacred knowledge is preserved and adapted for the future.
Education:
Fostering a new generation of knowledge-keepers through initiatives like the Escola do Feitio. This intergenerational exchange ensures that the depth of traditional practices remains intact.
Sustainability:
Promoting agroforestry practices that align with Indigenous values while providing economic opportunities for local communities. This reduces reliance on unsustainable practices, creating a path toward self-sufficiency and resilience.

We are living through a pivotal moment, often called the 'Psychedelic Renaissance,' where global awareness of plant medicines like Ayahuasca is expanding. This awakening brings profound opportunities but also great responsibility. The growing demand for Ayahuasca risks overharvesting and disconnecting these sacred plants from their cultural roots.
At Plant A Vine, we see this moment as a call to action—a chance to rewrite the narrative. Instead of continuing cycles of exploitation, we can create a wave of restoration, rooted in reciprocity and respect.
This vision is not ours alone; it is a shared dream. It calls on all of us—whether as stewards of the Amazon or as visitors inspired by its teachings—to protect this unique ecosystem and the cultural wisdom it nurtures. Together, we can ensure that the sacred plants and the knowledge they carry thrive for generations to come.
